FAQ

Where is your office?

I see individual clients virtually and at my home in the Highland neighborhood of Saint Paul, MN.

Arts-based healing workshops are held offsite at your location or another space publicly available for rent.

Can we meet virtually?
Yes! We can conduct our appointments via Zoom or a phone call rather than in-person if you would prefer. Some arts-based practices may not be available.
How do I pay?
I require payment by cash, check, or Venmo at the time of service.
Does insurance cover your services?
No. Coaches do not diagnose or treat illnesses, so insurance does not cover our work.
What's your cancellation policy?
I reserve the right to charge you in full for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ advance notice.
What if I'm not good at art?

You do not need any prior experience with art. You get to choose how much or how little we integrate art-making into our work together.

Sometimes the art will take the form of visualization, thinking in metaphor, and rewriting the internal stories we tell ourselves.

Is coaching a substitute for therapy?

Coaching is not a substitute for therapy. Coaching focuses on helping you set and achieve future goals rather than diagnosing and healing mental health disorders with roots in the past.

That said, our work together may help you understand how the past contributes to your current situation and provide insight and tools to help you move forward towards your goals.

Are you certified by the International Coaching Federation?

I have completed an ICF-accredited coach training program and am working toward my 100-hour ACC certification. I adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics.

Are you an artist?

I do not consider myself an artist. Although I greatly admire people who draw and paint for fun and can do it reasonably well when I try, it often makes me feel very anxious!

I gravitated to the techniques we offer at The Center for Resiliency Arts because they do not require great skill or inspiration but do offer a deep and soothing connection with myself, other people, and the mysteries of life.
